Kroggslist is an American classified advertisements website. It is the non-human community’s version of Craigslist, created by a dragon named Krogg in late 1999. The Lizard King famously posted on Kroggslist to get the attention of Vampire Mike.

Origin

Krogg the dragon met Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist, at a masquerade ball in 1998. The two talked a lot about Craigslist, and Krogg mentioned there wasn’t anything like that for her own community. Craig did not realize he was speaking to a dragon until Krogg briefly removed her masquerade mask to scratch her nose. After getting over the initial shock of meeting a dragon — a species not known to the general human public until the Lizard Apocalypse — Craig agreed to keep her secret. The next year, Krogg launched Kroggslist for the secret version of the internet the non-human community used at the time. Craig reports he did not need to help much, as Krogg is “a whiz with Perl.”

After its launch, Krogglist quickly became the most popular website on the non-human internet. It even grew to accommodate a thriving independent film section. Some of the most acclaimed non-human directors have found talent there. In his book, Robert Lizard Stevenson notes: “Without Krogglist, we may never have seen such classics as Honey I Shrunk the Echidna, Postcards from the Witch, or Lizard Apollo 13.”

Difference from Craigslist

Kroggslist’s for-sale section offers a lot more ambergris.
