- Reverse Jesus

Reverse Jesus is the stage name of amateur illusionist and carpetbagger, Scott Apfelbaum. His only known illusion is turning wine into water — hence his name.

Origin

Shortly after the Lizard King decided to call Scottsdale, Arizona his home, Scott Apfelbaum moved to the city and began performing his street magic under the stage name Reverse Jesus, determined to take advantage of a local desire for escapism in the midst of extenuating circumstances. He regularly appears at bars and restaurants unannounced, walking around the room reciting his bizarre rhyming magic words, and changing people’s alcoholic beverages into plain tap water. He has been labeled a disturber of the peace. Before the Lizard King took over, Apfelbaum was wanted in the state of Utah for disorderly conduct and driving on a suspended license.

run-ins

Reverse Jesus is extremely unpopular. He has had run-ins with many, including (but not limited to) the Lizard King, the crew of the Notary Public, and the offices of both The New New York Times and The New New New York Times. He once tried to gatecrash one of Vampire Mike’s parties, but Vampire Mike twisted into shadow and flame and threw him out on his ass. He is banned from every single brick and mortar location of Clawsco (the non-human version of Costco), for separate incidences at each store.

Reverse Jesus has an intense but one-sided rivalry with the famous illusionist and conscious mycelium entity known as Fungini. Reverse Jesus has compared their rivalry to the plot of the film The Prestige. However, it is more likely that Fungini either doesn’t know Reverse Jesus exists, or else doesn’t care.

Favorite Movie

Reverse Jesus’s favorite movie is The Boondock Saints.
